This would work well for the iPod touch too.  Such a simple idea and good recycling.

New MACWARE! Macbook Pro Cufflinks, Power Button Earrings & more!

May 10th, 2010 Nicola Posted in Cufflinks, Earrings, Geekware, Mac, Notebooks 3 Comments »

Spring is such a fun time for working on new product designs.  There’s no pressure of Christmas shows, and I get to watch the snow melt and new things popping up in the garden. It’s a very inspiring time for me, and that’s why I’ve been having a blast coming up with all these crazy new products.

Introducing new products in the MACware line, perfect gifts for your Mac-crazy boyfriend of Apple-loving Dad.

MacBook Pro Cufflinks - I had loads of requests for thinner cufflinks, so this should fit the bill.  I only have a few, so if you’d like a pair, better grab one before they are *gone* forever.

Another one for the Mac Fans…. MacBook Power Button Earrings!  Arent they cute?!  I don’t usually make stud earrings, but the round shape was just asking to be made into studs rather than drop earrings.

Mac Diskette notebooks are back in stock too.  I only have 4 at the moment, so they won’t be here for long.

Let me know what you think.  I’ll be back soon with some more new geek gifts, so stay tuned!

Hershey Kisses Apple MAc Logo

Long live the old Apple Logo! Although, being made of Hershey chocolate, I doubt this logo lasted long at all.

Mac Mondays: Apple Mac Modded into a Fishtank

Apple Mac Fishtank

I know the Mac fishtank idea has been around for ages, but I think this one is particularly well done.

“An Apple G4 Cube modded into an aquarium. It’s now home to a happy Beta! The light comes from an old USB Kensington FlyLight, which is plugged into a scraped iPod USB charger. ”

Mac Mondays: Vintage Apple Cassettes

Apple Cassettes Vintage IIe

I love this image of old Apple cassettes on Flikr!  The Apple logo is still bright and colourful, considering they are 20+ years old.

This is the original software that came with the Apple ][ Computer.  Looks like one had 4K of memory and the other 16K.

Apple Mighty Mouse

Beautiful packaging for Apple’s new Magic Mouse is shown over on the Dieline packagine site.  I love looking at all the novel and clever packaging designs they showcase.

I think I’d reuse the Mighty Mouse packaging as a little storage containers for nails or thumb tacks.

Evolution of the Apple Key (Cufflinks)

Apple key evolution

Apple cufflinks

Mac cufflinks

6 new pairs of MAC keyboard cufflinks added to the GEEKWARE store today!

The Command key, also historically known as the Apple key or open-Apple key, has taken many forms over the years.

The cufflinks above showcase the evolution of the Command key, from the Apple IIe released in 1983, to the controversial removal of the Apple symbol in the 2007 redesign.  (The removal of the symbol triggered a storm of protests by Apple aficionados, who felt that a unique design feature of the Macintosh was being dropped without a compelling need.)

Can you guess which pair of MAC cufflinks is made from the oldest keys, and which is the most recent?
